Why should I hire an Event Planner?

Whether your event is in your backyard or at a lavish hotel.  You will want a non-family member to be at your side.  An event planner/consultant allows you back your freedom to carry on the daily aspects of your life...your busy job, school, and traveling...etc. while giving you the control of your event as we take on the many planning tasks.  We will work with you to accomplish all of the tasks to bring your vision alive.  And then when its the big day, will execute everything that was planned.  You'll be stress free, able to enjoy your event and so will your family and friends. 

When should I start planning?

 It is never to early to start planning for your event, especially your wedding.  The earlier you start the better availability of booking the top vendors in your budgeted categories.  This also allows for extra time to bring your vision to life.  You want to enjoy the process with the least amount of stress as possible, RIGHT? 

The Top Three Wedding Vendors to Contract with first:

  1. Your Event/Wedding Consultant - (hopefully Poised Events) - We'll provide you with a list of approved/preferred vendors in your area.  This list includes vendors that we have worked with and that we know will get the job done right.  If you haven't heard of a vendor before, please ask for references.   
  2. Your Ceremony/Reception Site or Event Facility - Sometimes it works to your advantage to find a location prior to setting an exact date.  Know the season and approximate date in your head before inquiring, but don't limit yourself too much at this point.     
  3. Your Photographer - The top photographers get booked very quickly...do not delay on this as they usually only do one event the day/weekend of your event whereas the florist or bakery can do multiple weddings a day.
